Curriculum

Didactic Curriculum (subject to revision)
  • Diploma in Tropical Medicine: Dublin, Ireland
  • Diploma in International Humanitarian Assistance: NY
  • Global Health Tutorial at St. Luke's Roosevelt
  • Masters in Public Heath or Science at Columbia University (optional)

Clinical Responsibilities (subject to revision)
  • 20 hours per week working as a Junior Assistant Attending in the Emergency Department
  • HIV clinic- 45 clinic sessions per year (two and a half months)
  • Travel clinic- 30 clinic sessions per year (two months)
  • TB clinic- 15 clinic sessions per year (half a month)
  • 4 months of international field work

Academic Responsibilities (subject to revision)
  • Attend and prepare mini-topics for weekly didactic/admin meetings
  • Participate in Annual International EM Symposium
  • Prepare two lectures per year for SLR EM residency
  • Attend two CCC and two ID journal clubs per month
  • Completion of a scholarly project
  • Precept Residents and Medical Students
