Director
Dr. John D. Cahill is an attending in Infectious Diseases and Emergency Medicine at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center. There he is Director of Tropical & Travel Medicine Services and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians &Surgeons, Adjunct Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Brown University, and Senior Lecturer for the Department of International Health and Tropical Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He has worked as a specialist in international health and emerging infectious diseases in many parts of the world: Africa, South East Asia, South & Central America, and Europe. He is Project Director for The Center for Global Collaboration & Health Initiatives, Site Director for the Center for Disease Control's Geo-Sentinel Surveillance Project, and consultant to many organizations including the United Nations. |

Director
Dr. Ramona S. Sunderwirth is an attending in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center and has a Masters of Public Health from the Mailman School of Public Health in New York City. Dr. Sunderwirth graduated from the University of Paris Medical School and did her residency training at Albert Einstein School of Medicine in the Bronx. Prior to working at St Luke's Roosevelt Hospital, Dr. Sunderwirth was the director of the Pediatric emergency room in the Department of Pediatrics at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. Dr. Sunderwirth currently serves on the Children's Advisory Board of Human Rights Watch. She also serves on Health Rights International Board of Directors and Program Committee, volunteered with them and other NGO's on projects in Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Rwanda, Iraq, Macedonia, Kosovo, Russia, Philippines, Nepal, and Kenya. |

Assistant Director
Dr. Deepti Thomas-Paulose is an attending Emergency Medicine physician at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center. She is a graduate of the International Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Columbia University and has completed a Masters in Public Health from the Mailman School of Public Health. During the past two years she has participated in public health projects in Gujarat, India and Blantyre, Malawi. She has given lectures in infectious disease and epidemiology and during her medical school training worked on a project that focused on the pediatric HIV population in South Africa. Prior to this she has worked in Kenya, Nicaragua, and Mexico on health-related projects. |
